ABOUT US
WELCOME!
My name is Wendy Haluska. I am a professional doggie doter with a degree in Poochology (the ancient study of slobber, woofs, poops, fetch, wags and wiggles). I am doing what I always longed for; spending my days in and out with dogs. My mission is to provide loving care. I will treat your pet as my own and become their second best friend, next to you of course. I strive to go above and beyond your expectations.
I am a huge animal lover. Because I can’t have an entire house of pets without becoming one of those crazy ladies you hear about in the news with 50 dogs, I decided loving someone else’s animals was the next best thing! My passion for dogs inspired my dog walking and pet sitting business. I decided my love of dogs should become my career. I wouldn’t change it for any other job. I LOVE what I do!
Even though I am fairly new to this business, I am not new to the job. I have had and cared for fur babies (dogs, a cat, a rabbit, guinea pigs, hamsters, and gerbils) throughout my life. Not to mention the finned and the feathered (fish, parakeets, and love birds).

I have four dogs of my own; Maddy, a 145 lb. Great Dane; Parker, a Border Collie; Wilma, a Mini Poodle; and Bruiser, a 6 lb. Chihuahua. I fostered in the past and adopted the last two dogs. I also have experience with shy dogs which I find a great pleasure to work with. Wilma, one of the fosters I adopted, was a breeding dog in a puppy mill for 4 years. She was never touched kindly by a human, never slept in a soft bed, and lived in a wire cage. Wilma will never be a "normal" dog but she has come so far. She is happy now, she gets to do the Poodle dance and run free. Because of Wilma and the puppy mill survivors I fostered, I have become involved in a mission to help shut them down. I will fight this till the day I die! I am a voice for the ones that do not have one.

I had another Border Collie, Paige, who recently passed away at age 13. She was very special to me and the community. She was a therapy dog with a TDI and CGC title. Her specialty was working with special needs kids. We worked at Heartland Arrowhead for 2 years and visited many other schools. I also was involved with a program called Molly's Friends through the Elmbrook Humane Society (EBHS). It was a program that worked with kids in the inner city and taught them how dogs are wonderful pets. Many of the children I met had Pit Bulls that they weren't allowed to touch. Sad to say, this program no longer exists.
I have helped family, friends and friends of friends find their forever furry friends by adopting through shelters and rescue groups. I also walked dogs at EBHS of all shapes, sizes and temperaments.
I proudly support these organizations and am a member of:
These are all very special organizations that are dear to my heart but the one that is important to me since I fostered puppy mill survivors and saw first hand how these poor animals are damaged mentally and physcially is the Wisconsin Puppy Mill Project. I am a proud supporter of its mission - to shut down puppy mills.
